About the Artist

Sonder + Polish is a concept initially born out of my built-up restless energy from 2020. I was living in Denver, CO at the time and started acquiring my first stones and hand tools only a few weeks before the world shut down. My plan was to watch and learn from a local artist, but had to pivot and use whatever online learning materials I could find. And like many others, I also started embracing (and loving!) other hobbies like baking, painting and designing.

A year later, after I had spontaneously moved up to Montana, I decided to officially launch a business at my local farmers market. It was a direct reflection of everything the past year held—offering handmade jewelry, homemade baked goods, original acrylic paintings and digital designs. As all things do, the business changed and evolved over time. And 2 years later, I unexpectedly found myself back home in Nashville. The business took a pause. I took a pause.

I slowly started joining the local market scene again, and when the time felt right, I rebranded and refocused myself. Now, with a more singular focus on sterling silver and natural gemstones. I love trying to blend all parts of my journey into the work I create. Blending Broadway country and the wild west with a bit of whimsy and mystical detail. Old meets new. Dark meets light. Complexity meets simplicity.

As a predominately self-taught silversmith and lapidary artist, I try to use my skills to highlight the natural beauty that every stone has to offer. Making every piece a one-of-a-kind unique reflection of nature and ourselves. And when I'm not creating jewelry (and other crafts or baked goods at home), you can typically find me out about town at a coffee shop or park with my two dogs.
