Frequently asked questions
What is the return policy?
My goal is for every customer to be totally satisfied with their purchase! As a small business, and due to the handmade and limited-run nature of my products, I cannot accept any and all returns or exchanges. Please read all product details before purchasing, and contact me if you have further questions.
You can find the most updated policy here.
When will I get my order?
I try to get every order out as soon as possible. All orders take 1-3 business days to process. And being a one woman team sometimes life gets in the way. I will always keep you as updated as possible though! Delivery times are based on the shipping you choose at checkout. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information.

How do I care for my jewelry?
With any sterling silver and fine jewelry, it deserves a little extra thought and care. You're investing in jewelry that you want to last, and how you treat it is crucial to its longevity. I recommend polishing your silver pieces every 6 months to a year or whenever you start to notice tarnish buildup. Usually it's best to avoid polishing creams and stick to using just a basic polishing cloth. Certain soaps, detergents, and polishing agents can quickly cloud and discolor stones. Similarly, avoid swimming, bathing and even washing your hands, as this can wear down or even damage your jewelry. It's important to be smart about where you wear your jewelry and that you store your pieces somewhere cool, dark and dry.
Ultimately, each and every piece is different and contains unique elements (like stones and metal types), all of which should be noted and cared for specifically. Please ask questions and do research if you have concerns about certain elements in a piece.

Who makes everything on the website?
Predominately all jewelry is made by me (Sarah, Sonder+Polish) minus the vintage items. And although I'm a lapidary artist, I have some stones that are sourced that I did not cut and polish myself. If a cabochon is created and sourced from another artist directly, I try to mention that on the product itself. I also don't do any of the silver castings or forging (e.g. snakes, mushrooms, basic wires and components). I am taking loose stones and building the silver components up and around the stones to create each piece.
So, ultimately, a product's parts and pieces come from a variety of sources. But if we're talking about final products, yes, most all non-vintage items were designed and/or hand-fabricated by me, Sarah. If you have questions about a certain jewelry item, please don't hesitate to reach out.
And if you're curious about the website itself. Most photos are taken at my house, and I designed the website as a labor of love. But also a handful of photos were taken by wonderful local artists: Boho Hazel & Co., and Christin Suzanne Creative.
Do you offer custom designs and orders?
Yes! Whether you're looking for a lot of earrings for a bridal party, or you want to design a special necklace for your partner's birthday... I am always open to custom requests! Send me a message with your ideal timeline and what thoughts you have about the look and feel of what you're wanting to create. Just recently a customer gave me a rock they found while visiting Scotland, and I polished it up and set it in a lovely silver necklace pendant. I've also taken sea glass from a mother and daughter's beach vacation and turned it into matching earring and necklace sets for them. Turning your special treasures into wearable art is one of my favorite aspects⏤I feel so honored to be trusted with transforming such fond objects.
How do I determine my ring size?
Honestly, the best and most reliable way to get your ring size is to visit your local jeweler. If you're determined to do it at home though, measure the circumference of your finger using a string or strip of paper wrapped snugly around the base, then measure that length in millimeters against a ruler.
Tiffany & Co actually has a great sizing chart and more info that you can find here. (I know, I know... I probably shouldn't be sending you to Tiffany's website, but hey, they know their stuff)
